"We have all had the experience of seeing something that grabs our attention for some reason. In my case, it was the light at that particular moment in the day. That was the primary inspiration, but the more I worked from the photo, the more I saw additional and intriguing elements. Rather than announce what the source of the photograph was, I have named the painting, "Glistening" so as to allow the viewer to interpret and understand the image and its light according to their own experience and interpretation of nature. You may notice a slight hint of lavender coloring in the painting, also related to the light."
